Gold Medal Ales are produced monthly
in recognition of some of the 'greats' of history. School boy Iinternational Ronnie Dix created a record that stands to this day. Playing for Bristol Pirates in 1927 he became the youngest player to score in League Football. At 15 years and 176 days he netted one against Norwich Canaries. Soon after came First Division Football for Aston Villa, Derby County, Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham Hotspur before R.A.F. war service. Sometime after the war Ronnie ran a pub in the Bristol area and passed away in 1998 still a record holder. |
